The Studio
This wonderful design studio is part of a broader collective that brings together architecture, interior design, placemaking, wayfinding, signage and experiential design, the studio operates as a true collaborative — multiple disciplines working side by side from the same offices to deliver holistic, considered environments.
With placemaking at its core, the studio is deeply focused on wayfinding and signage, underpinned by strong conceptual thinking and rigorous design craft. The team is tight-knit, highly collaborative and intentionally flat in structure — more like a design collective than a traditional agency. The culture is supportive, trust-based and refreshingly ego-free, with a genuine commitment to flexibility and work – life balance.
The Opportunity
An opportunity has opened up for an experienced designer to join the team on a full-time basis, prompted by a growing pipeline of work. The role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne and is primarily focused on signage, alongside wayfinding and broader placemaking projects across a diverse range of environments.
You’ll work closely with a Design Director within small project teams, typically no more than three people, allowing for meaningful creative input and ownership. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being involved from concept through to delivery, without the pressure of long hours or rigid hierarchies.
The studio operates a flexible hybrid model — three days in the office, two from home, with no fixed in-office days.
The Ideal Candidate
You’ll bring 5+ years’ experience in environmental graphics, signage, wayfinding or placemaking, with a strong balance of conceptual thinking and practical design execution. You’re confident working hands-on across projects, comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and motivated by creating meaningful, well-considered environments.
You value collaboration over hierarchy, thrive in a supportive and trusting culture, and are looking for a studio where your ideas are genuinely heard. If you’re seeking a role that combines strong design thinking, flexibility, and a healthy approach to work, this is a rare opportunity to join a studio doing thoughtful, impactful work in the built environment.
